I bought a high priced sofa made by Smith Brothers of Berne. The upholstery was very poor quality and began pilling immediately. The company refused to deal with this problem. Their distributor was also less than helpful.
The foam of the cushions was also very poor in quality and soon became flat. The sofa came with a lifetime warranty on the cushions but when I tried to get them to honor the warranty, they refused. I eventually filed a claim in small claims court and won! Smith Brothers had to pay for the cost of replacing the cushions and the court costs. They paid me the amount they charge for the cushion foams after their markup.
I encourage anyone who has bought their defective furniture to also file a claim in small claims court if they try to get out of honoring their warranty. When you buy that furniture, you are also paying for the warranty. Their furniture is high priced and poor quality.
