To start, We own a 2002 vw jetta with a 1.8l turbo. I starting to have overheating problems and being hat monro muffler in Collegeville, PA was close. We took it there and for the most part, it sounded like they knew what they were doing and would have no problem fixing it. We also had a outside after market warranty, which it didn't seem like they were too happy that they had to deal with. But anyways, They put a water pump and new timing belt and it was fine for a week, before the problems started. First, the main belt came off because it was not put on right and the bracket was on the inside and not the outside of the pulley. And about 2 weeks later we had to get it towed back where it sat in monro's parking lot for almost a week before we got a phone call saying the motor was shot and they couldn't fix it. The weird part is they never got the go ahead to do the repairs from the warranty company, and there was no paper work to say the car had work done to it. I kind of sounds like their trying to cover it up, either form us, the warranty ompany or their offies. I just want the car repaired like it should have been. But for me, they are one customer less now and I will be telling others. Not happy, alan
