I had the unfortunate experience of buying a house from a man who was relocated by his company. The company hired Cartus for relocation services. Cartus was a "middleman" in the purchase of my new home. They had to examine and sign every document. They made us sign numerous disclosure documents. They slowed the process of getting our P&S signed, and caused our closing to be delayed by over a week. We were house-less for three days, living in a hotel and racking up bills, thanks to Cartus. If you can avoid it, don't buy a house if Cartus is involved.
