Whirlpool
Kitchen Aid dual dishwashe

After numerous service calls for this dishwasher, we are still having problems with dishes getting clean. We were told by Whirlpool that we needed 3 services calls to prove the unit was defective which we did on 2/16, 3/21 and 4/5. On 5/16 we spoke with Patty at Whirlpool and she was to set up a second opinion, after one week no call back or second opinion was made. On 5/24 We called Whirlpool to inquire about "second opinion" and spoke to supervisor Deanna and she stated we didn't need a seond opinion, just a service call in the last 30 days and then it would go before the review board. 5/25 Appliance repair came to our house and checked the machine and called Whirlpool tech Ken who recommended a phosphate product that is illegal in Florida. His second recommendation was a water softener. Both the local service tech and Ken laughed at the thought that we would have to buy a $1,000 water softener to make a $1,500 dishwasher get our dishes clean. This was a surprise to us because our old dishwasher cleaned our dishes without a water softener.

Left a message for Deanne to submit the dishwasher to the review board and no one called back. Another call to Whirlpool and spoke with Kia and she stated the final decision of Whirlpool was the unit was operating correctly and we must purchase a water softener in order to get the dishes clean.
We would like the unit removed and a credit on our card, as this product is defective and does not clean the dishes.
