I purchased a mattress for $700 at the Sit 'n Sleep in Brea Ca for my mother. She particularly chose a very firm mattress because she has back problems. When it arrived it seemed fine until the first night she slept on it and realized that there was a large sunken hole in the middle. We immediately called the Brea store only to be re-directed to corporate customer service. They told us that she would need to sleep on it for 30 days and then if she wasn't happy she could pay an exhorbinate re-stocking fee to get part of her money back. Eventhough the mattress is obviously defective we have to live with it or pay a huge sum of money for the experience. After calling everyday they finally agreed to send out an inspector. A nice man who immediately recognized the hole before even completely entering the room. Relieved, we waited to hear from corporate about what they were planning to do to fix the situation. The answer came in the form of a letter in the mail yesterday. That answer is absoltely nothing! We have no choice to accept the mattress they sent us eventhough it is not the one we chose in the store and is clearly defective. I'm saddened that a company would do this to someone. Sleep is incredibly valuable and vitally necessary to good health. They have robbed my mother of a good nights sleep and me of hundred of dollars. Shame on them.
