I am an event designer and I purchased silk lanterns over the phone from Susan Yi of Phaith Imports in Irvine, CA—I originally saw her product online. I needed the lanterns for a wedding very quickly and she said she would ship them to me. I gave her a credit card number. She shipped me the lanterns as we had discussed but then called back to say she no longer had a credit card terminal.
She said we could send a check when we returned to town from our out-of-town wedding. When we received the lanterns, they were not the size, colors, and quality that we had ordered—they were a piece of crap and would not even stay open—she completely misled us on her website and by phone.
We had to use the lanterns because our client had been promised the lanterns at the wedding and we did not have time to get them elsewhere. We called Susan Yi and told her we would be returning the lanterns because we were not satisfied, but we would still pay shipping costs. She said that was "fine."
Then she called back and said she would not accept the lanterns back and we had to pay for them because she had a baby to feed—she demanded that we pay her by check. On the 19th of November, out of revenge, she filed a report against my company, Flora Nova, on this website claiming that we we were refusing to pay for her product—she didn't tell the whole story and she didn't tell anyone that she had lied to us about the product and ripped us off.
Our wedding was Nov. 8, so she didn't even give us time to send her a check. She filed the report against us on Nov. 19 and we didn't even return home from the wedding until Nov. 12—what happened to net 30? Do not buy anything from Susan Yi of Phaith Imports or you will be sorry—she is a wacko that will sell you bad product and then act like you are the bad guy.
She is not that good at what she does because she contradicts herself and gets caught up in her own lies—even on the reports she filed against my company on this website. I am the consumer that was ripped off—do not fall into the same trap. I have offered to return the product and she will not even give me the address or allow me to ship them back.
She has even called my client and harrassed them—telling them I have not paid for the product and she will have to bill them if I don't pay. She's a nut and Phaith Imports is a rip-off!!!
