Alliance residential management hired me to do thier drywall and painting in raleigh, nc on 3 apartment complexes. The district mantanance person liked my work so much he got me to do work in richmond and 3 more complexes as well. I started work in september and have done about $55,000 worth of work, as of now i have not received any money.
I know large companies take there time paying people but i have over $7000.00 past 90 days and i am a small bisness and can not afford this. I have also talked to 3 other companies who have over $10,000 each (maybe much more) in outstanding since april of this year. I have hired new employees who have quit there jobs to come to work for me and if i do not get payment very, very soon i will have to let them go. These people have families and maybe jobless soon. Alliance is a very large company with well over 50,000 apartments, i have herd as many as 63,000 and they plan to puchase 15 more properties and i wonder if my money and the others is their downpayment.
I have talked to many people with them and have heard lots of answers, "the check is in the mail" was of course one, they are refinancing, i will be paid by the end of the year, i they just did not know why i had not been paid yet. And if i do not get paid soon i may have to shut down completely after 10 years.
