I cannot remember the exact date, but here is what happened.in June a service person came out to perform a basic maintenance check on the unit on my roof. He failed to put the panels back on the unit correctly, and the last storm blew off two panels. With the unit exposed to the rain and elements it caused the blower motor to get wet. Upon getting home that afternoon I smelt a burnt smell that seemed to be something electrical. I looked up on the roof to see the panels not on the unit. Another service technician came out to check it out and after spending over $200.00 the part that he recommended replacing finished burning the blower motor up. The motor would have gone out at some time, but if the panels had been installed correctly I would have a working AC unit at this time. Calling the office I got no help in resolving this problem.
