We recently purchased approximately 25 special order new construction and replacement windows from Cardinal Building Materials (4565 McRee Avenue St. Louis, MO). For accuracy, our sales rep (Wayne) personally came to the job site and measured all the new construction as well as replacement window rough openings.
We accepted the windows when they arrived, but shortly thereafter during the installation process, we discovered that the replacement windows were about 8 inches too short (8" of space between the window and our exterior brick sills).
We called and spoke to a manager who immediately assumed (correctly) that our sales rep was Wayne. He then apologised for the inconvenience and then assured us that they would "make it right".
When Wayne came back out to see the windows, he would not admit that he measured them wrong and actually tried to tell us that he measured them correctly and told us we 'signed off' on them.
