UPDATE: ripoff runaround delivery of damaged goods, customer service trouble

Hi,

Due to technical issues, i was unable to update my report from 10/24, so I am creating a new report in order to update everyone.

Thanks to ex-employee Ed's message from last week, we followed his excellent advice, and on Monday went straight to the Rockville location's Store Manager, a Mr. Ricardo Correa.

At first, Mr. Correa refused to help us with the furniture already delivered to our home, but did cancel the items still pending on our order. He insisted that we had to go to Customer Service to cancel those items and arrange for pickup. However, we refused to budge, and finally forced him to take matters into his own hands, which he did. He called Customer Service and authorized to return and a full refund!

The truck came earlier this afternoon and took all the furniture away, so we await Marlo's promise to credit us a full refund. Only time will tell...

Ed, once again, our thanks for your advice, it really worked.

As for those shopping for new furniture, read my initial report and beware of Marlo Furniture - they are a ripoff!
