We entered into a contract to do home improvements. They recieved a check for $13,700. I had to fire the company because the lack of and quality of the work that was being done in my house. I would only get a work once, if I was lucky twice a week. The previous owner added glitter to the paint on the wall. Nikel painted over the glitter. So now my new paint job has glitter as well.
There are areas where patch work was done on the wall, sanding was not done and they painted.in other areas patch work was not done but the still painted. I have to get a new contractor to redo all the painting that they done.
He removed my kitchen sink, counter top, all carpet, removed some drywall, removed everything in one of my bathrooms. I am living in a house without a kitchen. When he removed the tub it caused a leak that has damaged the floor and the adjoining closet.
I have records from my cell phone where I have call them over 30 times and left messages. I don't get a call back.
I have put in a complaint with BBB, Maryland Attorney General Office, Maryland Home Improvement Commission, Bank of America (the check came from them when I closed on my home), I filed a fraud complain with the Prince Georges County Police Department and I filed a complaint with the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
No one is able to help me, I am told that I have to take them to court and the most I would get is $5000. I am out $14,700.
