The quality of Berkline furniture is less than desirable. Within 9 months of purchase, the Berkline recliner was beginning to show signs of fatigue. Within 18-months the seating area is sagging and the support springs are dislodging. Amazingly enough, Berkline has informed me that they will cover replacement of the mechanism, however, I will have to pay labor for a furniture repair company to fix it.
One would think that Berkline would be more responsible for their products, knowing that they obviously have a defect in their quality and workmanship. I find it utterly rediculous that I should have to outlay any additional money to repair a product that should of clearly lasted well beyond an 18-month period of time.
The money that I paid, which was not cheap, should of allowed me the product service I was expecting. I thought I was buying a good quality product, from a well established company. To my dismay... I bought Berkline's junk product at a very high price.
Do not buy Berkline furniture products... Their quality has deteriorated to that of cheap-low cost manufactured products that are being sold as high quality-high priced products.
