2 years ago i used this company and had great results. So i called advanced windoware again and Steve Means came out, measured and told me I'd have them in 6-8 weeks. Asked for a deposit, i gave him $1200, he charged my card. 8 weeks passed and i heard nothing from him. I started calling weekly and he told every lie in the book (on their way, factory is behind, etc.) last week i left a message threatening to sue. He sent me a filing for bankruptcy letter two days ago. I've looked him up, he lives in an $800,000 house. I've found 3 other people who he took money from. I want to file a class action suit as I now know of 4 people total. He never even ordered the shutters, he just took my money. His company webpage is down, his phone numbers are all disconnected. Please if you have been taken by this man, contact me, I am prepared to go to all ends to get my money. Also, please file a police report - he can be put in the system for a felony as the amount is over $1000. Do not let him get away this - please help!!! I am adopting a baby and this man stood in my nursery and measured my window for a shutter and then took my money. He is pure evil.
