I was sold Plantation Shutters on Oct 22. Salesmen requested payment in full because " I was getting such a good deal & they pay the sales tax" also company policy. Custom order would take 6-8 weeks.
On or about Dec 15 the salemen was contacted and we were told the company was going to file Bankruptcy and gave me the phone number to the owner Ken Montoya.
Ken Montoya was shocked that I got his phone number and told me my Shutters were not ordered and that he used my money for another bill. He also told me in business this is done all the time and that he was filing Bankruptcy. He also admitted to me that his company has been in trouble for months.
He is now in business as Shutters USA with a new address. He had absolutly no intention when I ordered my shutters to order them for me.in fact according to the Arizona commission lost his license November 1. This is no different them him coming into my house and stealing $1449.00. He is a Thief!
If anyone has had any luck collecting their money please let me know. And please file a complaint with the Attorney General in your state.
