We had a new dream home built almost two years ago-we wanted to have the no hassle home that McBride advertises. We are a busy family with two wonderful children and two very busy careers. Our dream has been a nightmare!
Mold, AC leaks, foundation cracks, improper grading, code violations (our home had no certificate of occupancy), heating air improperly designed, flooring improperly installed, our sewer caps were not removed for months, the list has been never ending.
We were promised things by the sales person that were not reality and because the contract is iron clad with no protection for the consumer, we can do nothing about the lies that we were told.
We still almost two years later have issues that the current builder representative is claiming they are not responsible for even though the representative that just recently "resigned" sent us a very detailed plan of what needed to be done to correct the issues.
This is by the way the fifth person from the company that we have had to deal with on warranty issues. Every time there is a new person it is like starting over...
We will continue to fight a good fight, but please trust that no one should be going through what we are with a home building experience.
