Yet another person ripped off by Adam Charles. He has been doing business with me under the name of Fence Maintenance. As of at least 9/19 his cell phone and email address have been canceled. With the email being a hotmail account he had to have canceled it himself.
Here is the last email I attempted to write him and it was bounced back to me, it will also give a clear picture of my situation. Keep in mind this was written prior to me finally Googling his name and finding the multiple scam reports on him.
"Adam,
I have not heard from you since September 3rd and your phone as of my call 2 minutes ago is unavailable.
I am writing in attempts to collect a partial refund of $425.00.
Our original contract was for removal of debris in my backyard at no charge, caulk, prep and paint all exterior wood trim on the house at $425.00 and replace damaged wood trim at base of chimney at $100.00.
The original contract stated that all serviced were to be paid and the job completed within 30 days of the signed agreement. The agreement was signed, the debris was removed, and $100.00 cash deposit was made on June 29th. That means that all payments must be made and the job completed by July 30th at the latest.
The remaining $425.00 was paid by check on July 25th which cleared my account on July 28th. Due to weather we made a verbal agreement that work would begin the following week (August 3rd-7th)
No work was rendered, after that point we had yet another verbal agreement that work would be completed by Monday August 24th or by Friday August 28th at the latest. No work was completed.
It was then August 29th when I asked for a refund of the $425.00. At this point the original contract as well as two verbal contract amendments have been breached. I still feel I am being fair in only requesting $425.00 of the $525.00 total paid. The debris clean up was written to be at no charge, but I believe in compensating for a completed job. The debris was cleared in a professional and timely manner and greatly helped us out before our wedding.
Please get in touch with me as soon as possible regarding a refund of $425.00, I do not want this to linger any longer.

If Adam does not pay me my partial refund by next week, granted the only way he will know this is if he checks these reports, I have talked with my lawyer and will be pressing charges and filling a suit. It is for a small amount, I believe that is what he is banking on, but it is the principle of the matter.
Also if there is anyone on here who is trying to build a larger case I am willing to piggy back onto your case, I have saved text messages, voice mails, a broken signed contract, check deposit scan all with dates to back it up. If we bind together we can do more.
Adam, if you are reading this, please refund my money as agreed by the end of this week. If not I will be pressing the issue further.
My hope is that others will read these reports before they are scammed as well.
