After knowing Ms. Davis since January of I agreed to lease a home I owned to her and Ms. Charles in June. Because Mr. Charles was a contractor, I also hired him to make improvements on this house. Mr. Charles outlined a plan to install a sprinkler system, roof turbines and added attic insulation. We agreed to a price, an outline of the work to be done and a completion date of August. The security deposit was waived and a reduction in rent was done as part of the agreement.in December, none of the work had been started (after numerous conversations and promises by Mr. Charles); I negotiated an amendment with Adam and cancelled the order for the sprinklers. He did finally install the roof turbines and attic insulation. As part of the amendment, Adam and April agreed to pay the security deposit over 3 months.
Then in February of Ms. Davis gave me a rent check for two months (January and February rent) that bounced. Promise after promise was made to make good on this check went unfulfilled. It was finally agreed that they would move from the house on March 31. They agreed and signed a promissory note for the $3,500 monies owed me. The promissory note called for them to pay $150 per month. They made one payment in April and the nothing since. Adding insult to injury, the home was left in appalling condition and took several hundred dollars to get it back to its original state.
After spending months trying to locate Adam and April, I successfully found them in April (2 years later). I filed a small claims suit that remains open. I have since moved to California and would like to collect the monies owed and promised to me.
I read a post from Adam that he will make good on any debt. I challenge Adam to fulfill that post.
