I purchased a 1 year appliance warranty on a three family house in August for $650. During the first month of the policy, one of my washer machines broke down. I called in the repair and received immediate service.
With the signing of the new contact, I was supposed to receive a $50 Home Depot gift card, which never came. I sent 5 emails and called several times, to find out the status and I was told it was being processed.
In February The same washer broke down again. I called National Home Protection and received a recording, stating that they were closed for a system upgrade and to leave a message.
After calling for over a week, I decided to call the company that repaired the washer to see if they could contact the warranty company for me. Upon calling the repair company, I was told that they are no longer working with National Home Protection because they have not paid their bills.
I ended up paying for the washer repair out of my own pocket, which cost around $250.
I have continued trying to contact National Home Protection for 7 months now without any success. Now their website is no longer accessible on the internet.
