So far, NONE of the promises have held up...
Electic bill went UP 20% system will not pull the house to 72* on a 100* day - much less keep it within 2* from room to room
Attempting to get your money back is a joke - they wont even talk to you.
When I told them I was not getting the savings I was promised I was told to provide them with 12 months of electric bills.
When I provided them with 13 months, I was told that wasnt good enough - I needed to provide them with bills from 2006. According to them was not "hot enough" to make an accurate comparison.
Had I been told, during or prior to installation, that bills that far back would be required, I could have provided them. Unfortunately, this far out these bills are no longer available.
Personally I think that they knew they could not meet these goals so they set, then hide, unreasonable demands - until you file a complaint - then the loopholes show up.
Filed a BBB complaint at the end of February and so far have gotten no reply. (They have until March 14th)
Asked for them to come and remove the unit and give me my money back - like the contract states.
Just found out yesterday that they never pulled permits or did a follow-up code inspection.
If you are thinking about doing business with them... DON'T!!!
March 17th update:
Got a call today at lunch from the VP of Avery air...
Seriously apologetic... Actually took the time to hear my issues and complaints and agreed with me that something was not right.
They will be sending 2 of their top techs out on Monday to try to find the problem. First words he said was "I'm sorry and if you want us to remove it, we will."
After a lengthy talk, we have agreed to let them try to repair the system... Read More Supposedly we will be also getting "some money back".
So far, so good!
June 20th update:
They may not be the worst in the industry, but any company that needs to be hounded to honor their warranty and even then only does the bare minimum needs to be called out.
When we signed up we were promised that after the 12 mo. No payments / no interest ended we could refi any balance at a 9.9% fixed rate before the deferred interest kicked in... Guess what...
WRONG!
$3000 in deferred interest that we now have to pay.
