We purchased a king size set manufactured by Land & Sky, which had the inflatable chambers that are adjusted by number in August. It had a twelve year warranty. Starting in April it began to deflate and not hold air. We called and a lovely young lady named Amber suggested she send us new tubes, which she did. It didn't help. We called again, Amber suggested a new pump, we had to pay the shipping, which we did. It didn't help.
After about two years of owning the mattress, the pillow top began to sag. I called the company. Amber told me she would direct my concerns to the warranty department. No response. On or about 12/20/07 I called because I had not heard from anyone. She was very sweet and confessed that it had been given to the president of the company who said he would deal with it after his vacation. He didn't. We continued to attempt to talk to someone and finally spoke to Richard, who said he lived in Iowa, but handled warranties.
He asked me to take photos, which I did, showing the drooping mattress, sagging about two inches. I attached them to an email and sent them to him. He called and acknowledged he had received them, but needed more. He told me he would be traveling and would call me when he returned to coach me on taking the photos he needed. He never did. Nor would he take my calls after that.
Finally, in desparation, I got on line. I located the corporate principals and their home addresses and wrote them letters, requesting someone contact us as the sagging had finally caused me such back pain I had to sleep on our couch. We needed relief.
To this day, no one has ever contacted us. The air continues to escape and the pillow top sags about three inches. We have to pump it up every night before we retire and it's low in the morning. We are senior citizens on a limited income and can't afford to buy a new mattress, so I continue to sleep on our couch.
Interestingly, their mattresses now boast a 20 year warranty. It sounds good, but they don't honor it. What good is it? Frankly, I would like to have my money back. At the time we purchased it, the price was $2700, no small purchase!
