I am the owner of a property in Bansko, Bulgaria and purchased a furniture pack off of a couple who had decided not to go thru with the purchase of a property, MRI had sold them two furniture packs and I have copies of the invoices stating that it was all paid for, not only the MRI sent me an email acknowledging the transfer of ownership of the furniture to me and requested me to give them details of a contact person so as they could do measurements etc to install the furniture, I had several conversations with a number of MRI employees in Spain, all of them were using delaying tactics such as they are very busy finishing other apartments, I was then told I was on a priority list of owners who would get the installation done before end of January etc etc etc, one fine day I got an email requesting that I pay over 1000 euros which was the VAT on the original price of the purchase,
MRI are saying that if we do not pay the VAT they will not install the furniture packs, they are also refusing to refund the original funds to the original owner or me since I purchased the rights to the furniture pack which I believe is outrageous, before I purchased the furniture pack I had a long conversation with MRI in Spain to make sure that everything was fine, they never hinted that I would be charged more for my purchase, I have even had a lawyer in spain send out a letter to them explaining to them that they are infact breaking the Spanish law, (since MRI are actually registered in Spain, or at least the property part of the company is)
