As a Gold Preferred Service Policy holder with CroppMetcalfe I had dampers installed on my ducts on my system on the upper level of my residential home in January. On April 26 (first 95 degree day) turned on air conditioners around 8am. House runs on two separate systems. Lower level cooled to a comfortable 66 degrees, but the upper level remained at 96 degrees. I thought it just need time to cool the house down.

At approximately 830pm, I climbed into the attic to take a look around. I found a large duct hanging down in the air, not attached to the unit. Finally, its time to go to bed and the upper level is still 96 degrees. Contacted CroppMetcalfe at 852pm told to wait for a callback. Callback finally came at 904pm. I was informed that no one would come by to fix my unit tonight, because they were backedup with other service calls. I was told that if my Gold Preferred Service Policy expired that I would have to pay for a service call to have the duct reattached to the unit.

When the damper were installed in January it appears the duct was not secured back to the unit properly. Now they won't come fix the problem tonight, and they 'might' fix it tomorrow, and if they I am suppose to pay for it! That is bad workmanship and horrible customer service. I would not recommend the services of CroppMetcalfe to anyone!!
