United Air Care lied about the condition of the old air conditioner and the duct work. They performed what they entitled a "cleaning" of the unit and were set to replace all ducts in the attic when I became aware of the false claims. I was able to stop the new duct work portion of the bill but they charged $1700. For the cleaning. The cleaning took aprox 45 mins to perform. They claimed to clean the unit and the exisiting ducts for this amount. They installed a UV filter and replaced an old material filter in the house. Upon inserting my hand into one of the ducts find it to still be very dirty. When the price was disputed was told that this is a normal charge. I had placed a stop payment of the check but was only able to negotiate a $300.00 discount. Was told that I would be sent to collections if did not pay.
