James Scott DBA Scott Woodworking Fraudulent Business, Never received handcrafted bed, poor communication, theft

Beware of using Scott Woodwork in Mesquite, TX. He is the ultimate internet unscrupulous business man to sell on E-Bay and the internet. He had good feedback on E-bay when I made the purchase which I find surprising in view of his lack of ability to provide my product.

He is quick to respond when taking your money for his supposed product and he seems very genuine. I, too, was fleeced by checking out through Google instead of PayPal. It should have been a BIG RED FLAG but the honest side of me wants to believe in other human beings.

The excuses are numerous. Debilitating sickness in the entire family, lack of materials for building the bed, help that was hired quit, boxes to ship in were not available. The list goes on and on.

The odd part is that usually when you are ripped off you don't hear from the shyster again. He didn't send numerous e-mails but he did respond a week or so later. Again, illness was the excuse for the poor response time.

I wanted to believe him and I kept hoping against hope that he'd follow through and be an honest business man but after 6 months my hope has extinguished. I, too, will follow through with lodging a complaint with the authorities in Mesquite. I will also start investigating the cost involved with small claims court to get my money back.

The sad part is that he really stole innocence from my daughter. We moved her out of state to a new home and she wanted an Asian themed bedroom. The pictures of his supposed work are beautiful. So, we agreed to let her order her set. 6 months later she is still in her hand me down bed from our old house. She won't trust others again.

I hope others will read this and STOP before getting fleeced like I did. Its a lesson that you can't seem to trust anyone, anywhere, anymore. Look around us and our economy. Everyone is out to take advantage of you.

I also hope I discover a group law suit as I'd love to be a part of it. I wish it hadn't come to this but it has. And to think, all I wanted was a nice bedroom set for my daughter. Shameful, isn't it?
