I ordered a NuWave oven from AsSeenOnTV.com, and during checkout, the site asked for the security code on the back of my debit card, I did not think much of it at the time. However, weeks later when the oven arrived looking very used I called customer service to get a return authorization number. Exactly one week after that call, my debit card was charged $99.00.
My bank had me call the company (CCBill.com) that place the charge on my card; I was surprised to find out that the charge originally came from a Korean porn site. I was even more surprised to find out that my correct address (minus my apt. Number) was given. However, when I was told that the three-digit security code on the back of my debt card was given, I knew right away that AsSeenOnTV.com was the ONLY place that had access to that three-digit security code. Of course, I cannot prove that someone at AsSeenOnTV.com used my information but I am careful with my card and no one but them had access to that security code.
