Contract Expired October and will not stop billing thru Check Free

I fulfilled my end of the contract and had ADT for 3 years and paid my monthly fee (which did increase from the original quote) but I knew I had to pay for 3 years whether or not. My contract expired in October but I did continue paying till early in 2008. We left home for 3 months which was January, February and March and had the phone put on vacation. We received a call sometime during February or March that our system was not working and they were advised at that time to shut off the service, but they did have 30 days to do that so we paid thru April, thinking that we would have a credit on our account and would get a refund when the account was closed, that was a real stupid thought since we are still being billed through Check Free and they just sent another bill for service from 12/27/08 to 01/26/09 and now showing the balance to be $244.16. We have talked to ADT Account Services numerous times and get nowhere with them, they just keep insisting that we do owe them $198.00 which covers the service from May to what must be November I am not sure because they are charging us a late fee of $2.25 per month. Where do they get the figure of $198.00 when our Check Free bill shows $244.16 and I do not feel that we
owe this company one darn penny! I do not know what to do!
