I had Colorado Seamless Gutters (C.S.G.) install new gutters in 04/07.in October I reported improper installation of the fascia wrap over my front porch. I was passed to several different employees. I explained my situation several different times, and promised many call backs which never happed. I called in December and insisted on speaking to a owner in the company. I again explained my unhappiness with the work performed. I was put in contact with an individual whom I was told was a part owner in the company.
That person came out to my property on three different occassions to try to fix the situation. I was ultimately told the waviness in the fascia wrap was due to a sagging soffet, and statement which I have in writing. I always felt uneasy about this assessment, but what could I do since I was dealing with (what I was told at the time) an owner in the company. I assumed as was being told the truth.
After several negative comments from friends, family, neighbors, etc. About the perceived shotty work, I hired a structural engineer to inspect the alleged sagging soffet. The engineer's report clearly states that there is no defect in the soffet and it is within structural tolerances.
I again contacted C.S.G.in September after the engineer's inspection, and again demanded to talk to an owner of the company. It was at that time, after much persistence, that I discovered the previous individual I had been working with was not a part owner of the company. I was finally working directly with the President of the company. I explained my situation. Ultimately the repair was made in the manner in which I requested a year prior. I made two formal requests for reimbursement of the expense for the engineer's report.
After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau the company responded that I never supplied a copy of the engineer's report. First off, they never officially requested a copy. Secondly, I proactively sent that to C.S.G. Along with the billing statement on 10/28, of which I have documentation showing they received it. C.S.G. Is still not willing to pay for what I deem to be a necessary action to get them to complete the repairs needed. I cannot believe this is how they do business. I have made a third formal complaint and still awaiting payment.
