We hired Sela to reroof our home after we experienced storm damaged. Our roof was put on the week between Christmas and New Years of 2007. After much initial confusion regarding several logistical details, our roof was started. About 3/4 of the way through it we noticed that our siding was being removed... Apparently this is/was all part of our roofing process. Our siding is asbestos and very old, so when I called Sela several times to express my concerns about this, I was assured by Connie that, "They do this all the time, my siding would match and everything would be fine... I'd be happy... I'd love it". She said that they would remove and replace the original and if that wasn't possible, my siding would be replaced with matching siding. We wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Our Sela hired subcontractors threw our siding down from our second story... Apparently they weren't told the plan was to "save" the old. They also weren't told they were handling asbestos. When the new siding was put into place, it was a primed siding material that didn't match. When I called Sela (because their crews only spoke Spanish and weren't ever able to communicate what was going on with us) to see if this was temporary siding... I thought its winter and maybe our "matching" siding had to be special ordered. I was then told there was a work order for our siding to be painted in the spring. I was furious. This was the first I'd heard our siding had to be painted! And our original siding was maintenance free siding... So now we were NO LONGER going to have maintenance free siding... And they were going to try to "match" our siding with paint. After going back and forth... We realized we had been totally mislead and now paint was our only available option. Our siding was painted in June 08... And not only does the color NOT match but you can tell it doesn't match from a block away. Sela's painter did the best he could to match the whites... Even going so far as to paint additional siding (now even more of our maintenance free siding was effected) but without "painting the whole house" it was never going to match. When I called Sela and spoke with Matt, I asked for our entire house to be repainted or new siding installed... At Sela's expense. I was told, "Well that's never going to happen". I then sent certified letters to Sela which went unanswered. I then complained to the Better Business Bureau and to the Department of Labor and Industry. Sela finally responded. But other than going back and forth threatening us with a lien on our home... We've gotten no satisfaction regarding our ruined siding. Sela won't take responsibility for ruining it and only acknowledges "communication confusion". All four sides of our home are affected. Sela doesn't seem to think that we are entitled to have matching siding, or that our home should be left in the same maintenance free siding condition we had BEFORE hiring Sela to reroof our home. It's been almost a year now. We were hoping to have some resolution by now.

However, Sela seems to be willing to only leave us with unmatching siding and future legal action. I'd seriously think twice before hiring this company.
