I'm an independent builder for barden homes. I had the unfortunate chance to meet with Jim Kelsall. I want to make this clear Barden Homes is an excellent company, however, Jim Kelsall is a shady, shady character. He wanted me to give him a kickback in order to have my complaints addressed and expedited. I tried to go over his head but all my complaints were routed to his desk.
My project was delayed and that hurt my bottom line because I refused to "play ball". I still have a half finished project sitting on my lot with missing materials. Jim Kelsall met one of my clients who happen to be African American and a Mark Furhman like comment was made that I told him I didn't appreciate. After this incident I started having problems.
I asked other dealers that are under him if this is how he does business and they all said yes. The same builders won't put it in writing for fear of retribution.
Anyone else have this time of experience please post it. I did a search of Barden Homes on this site and wow not the least bit surprised
