Hi all. We recently built a new home and built a deck for a hot tub. We had a hot tub at our old home and loved it. It heated great and. Weve been to hotels and others spas and they all heat real nice. All of them heated so well you can sit in them more then 20 minutes. Most only 10-15 minutes before you need to step out for a few minutes.
Here is what happen. We purchased just 10 days ago a $5800 Dynasty spa from Litehouse. The sales person was not so great. She didnt know most things and told us the spa had lights that it does not. They had one on the floor and didnt have water in it. Nor electric. She showed us another that was heated and worjking with lights and said it would light up just like it.
We did some looking into the better spa rating and founf Dynasty was one of the better quality spa. Also Lite house offers an additional standard warranty on their spas. The salesperson stated the warranty was 10/7/5. And it is. Not from Dynasty but from litehouse. Did find that out till later when we had the spa.
Ok so now to the real problem. Byt law all hot tubs not can not heat over 104 degrees. We wasnt told this and expect much hotter since the one we had and hotle and others we get in does go over 104 degrees.
So we used a thermometer that is used for a persons temp. It is digital and tub only read 103.2 degrees. We called Litehouse they said to call their repair place and have them come check it. They did the next day. His thermometer read 103.3 degrees. When you are in the tub for 20 minutes the tub losses 1.3degrees and in 40 minues 2.5 degrees.
So you can not heat the spa to say 106 degrees and get that good hot tub feel. Its a hot tub guys not a warm tub..
So we asked to repair it so that atleast it will go to 104 degrees as law allows. Litehouse refuses to fix and states that now they have a variance allowed of 1-2 degrees. Holy cow. 2 degrees thats 102.
So we asked to return it. They will not allow it... I asked and asked. NO way and told me to get a lawyer. So I will.
When we get in and it reads 104 but really is it 103.3 and 20 minutes later its 102 it is not relaxing. My 8 year old even stated it not hot whenits first turned on...
So I will file complaints and tell all they should not purchase from Litehouse unless you get in writing that it can be returned within 7 dyas for full refund in case it doesnt heat to your satisfaction. Otherwise you are stuck...
