This company was contract to move my furnishings from New York to Florida, They arrived 10 days late after telling me everyday they would be there the following day. When they finally arrived. They refused to moved my king size patform bed, my sofa and an armoir into the house. Saying it didn't fit. They charged me 180 dollars for blankets and left all my furniture out in the rain. I called and spoke to the owner. He said he would do something but he never called me back.
My furniture did fit because I had to pay someone else to move it in but it took several days to coordinate and in the meantime mold had consumed the furniture which I didn't know because it was covered in blankets.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau, filled out all of the paperwork, and I spoke several times to a Peter Grunfeld who told me it would be settled as we're talking about over $10,000 in furniture. I waited and I waited and I called and I called. No one ever responded and no one has tried to replace all this furniture that was ruined by their movers.
I realize that this happened in Sept of but I have been trying to go through the proper channels and apparently there are none.
I am at my wits end. This company should have at least a blemish on their record for what they did to me and should be forced to reimburse me for my furniture. I don't where else to turn. Can you help me?
There is alot more detail involved but this is the crux of the incident.
