I bought a new Goodman 4 ton heat pump, to replace the old goodman at my home. Within 20 days it stoped working. I had the contractor come to my home. He discovered that the cooling coils were defective and leaked R 22 freon into our home, All 17 lbs of it. When i contacted Goodman they have danced all around their warranty. (look it up) I had to repair it on my own at a cost of $ 525. They paid for the new part, however, it cost me $92 for freight. Now I suffer lung problems, been to hospital and 3 different Doctors. Wife has cough that she never had. To me it was like living in a gas chamber. If this r22 can hurt the ozone what about humans? We are in our late 60's. We are going to sue for product libility.
