Send payments to forclosue cost when no forclouse was file Internet

After my husband lost his job for 5 moths, we tried to work out a deal with Countrywide to avoid foreclosure. When we were told that the owed amount will be re-finance and put at the end of the loan we were relief. After following their instructions and sending the required money amount to put our account current, we found out that for the last 4 months we were being reported for a late payment.

After 4 weeks of making phone call and no call backs, a supervisor from a retention team told me that when we made the first payment (after refinancing), a big part of it went to pay foreclose fees. Again after talking to a dozen people, I was told that somebody was going to call me back. After a week I called, the people from the collections office told me that I had the correct information, but those fees were not going to be re-funded.

We never agreed to go to foreclose, we never sign papers and again a week later, nobody has called us back.

Our credit keeps getting worse, and I'm worry that this company will do nothing about it since they keep reporting us for late payments.
