Wayne Bright Owner Of Top Notch Stone And Tile
Wayne Bright with Top Notch Stone and Tile scammed me out of almost three thousand dollars

I had the recent misfortune of conducting business with Wayne Bright of Top Notch Stone and Tile. For his labor (not including the price of materials) I paid him nearly three thousand dollars for electric and tile work on my home which included, but was not limited to installing a ceiling fan which was not properly installed (sways back and forth so drastically that the blades almost hit the ceiling) and tile various places including my shower surround which is currently cracking in the grout lines at a rate of approximately two feet per week.

Immediately after the job was first finished (which was left in a horrible mess) my wife and I brought it to Waynes attention that the grout was not the same color (it was very light in some areas and too dark in others,) and Wayne said, "Yeah, I noticed that, and I'm not sure what happened." After I pointed out the condition of the ceiling fan Wayne actually told me, "Oh yeah, I meant to tell you about that, that can be fixed, all you have to do is crawl up in the attic with a pair of pliers and tighten it down." I did not feel this was right at the time, but was unsure of where his responsiblities started and stopped so I didn't say anything.

A week or so later my wife and I noticed that a grout line in the shower was starting to crack. At first the crack was not too bad (about a foot and a half in length and wide enough you could place a finger nail in it.) So I called Wayne and he told me when he got a chance he would come over to caulk in the crack with a caulk that would match the color of grout in the shower and assured me that the grout was settling and nobody would be able tell the crack was ever there after he placed caulk in it.

Two weeks later, Wayne still had not shown up and the crack had gone from a foot and a half to five feet of cracks in several areas so I called a couple different reputable tile companies around the Springs who came to my home to inspect the reason it was cracking and they all said the same thing, that the grout was cracking because the underlayment was not installed properly and the grout was not consistent in color because it was either not mixed right, or Wayne had used two different colors of grout. I also called a couple electricians and asked them about the ceiling fan, and they said if you read the installation instructions on how to install a fan it will tell you how to properly brace the fan to the ceiling joist to keep it from moving, and since I had paid Wayne to install it, he should have installed it correctly.

I called Wayne today (27 June at approximately 5:45PM) and told him what the tile contractors had said about the tile job and the ceiling fan installation to which he rudely replied, "Ahhh go f* yourself, " and hung up on me.

At this point in time I am trying to take all the proper steps of warning everyone so this does not happen to someone else and in the meantime I will be filing a lawsuit against him to seek compensation...
