On April 30 I contacted Federal Moving Van Lines in reference to a quote I recieved on line for the move of our house hold goods. I was told by Brian that the rate was 1500 no matter what the weight and he also told me that there was no money due at pick up since I had already given them 300 as a deposit.
Supreme VanLines came to get my things and after all of our belongings were loaded on the truck then they demanded 875 dollars. Since I was told I didnt need any money at pickup I didnt have it so they agreed to a postdated check. I lost my original contract with Supreme Vanlines and so they faxed me another one. The one they sent me varied on the price by 1000.00.
We tried to resolve the issue and they wouldnt work with us. I then found my original and it stated that we owed 875.00 at delivery. And the "copy" he sent me said I owed 1781.00 at delivery. They either stole or lost our play station 3,4 games, and they broke my new dryer. I called them after we realized we were missing the games and the dryer was broken.
They refuse to answer my phone calls. So what I'm looking for is a refund of the money that they tacked on my bill.in the amount of 461.00 (I paid what they were asking minus a 400 "discount" because they said if i didnt they would auction my things) And I want them to pay for the damages to my dryer and replace our Playstation 3 and the games.
Whatever you do DO NOT use them to move your things. They are a dishonest company who will neglect you belongings. We are now trying to find a way to replace the things that were stolen from us. We just seperated from the Navy. That was the whole reason for the move. I thought I did my research but apperently I didnt do enough.
