I carefully sat down in a patio chair on 30 April and the chair collapsed to the floor. (I weigh 205 lbs) The chair's left leg swung up and caught my left hand middle finger under the left armrest which immediately pinched off the tip of my finger.
The chair seat was held up by two plastic components which had crystalized in the Yuma summer heat after only four years.
We never left these padded patio chairs in the direct sun, and they were in good condition otherwise. The failed parts are located under the back of the seat and not readily visable.
