Replacement Windows, Rip Off Bate and switch after signed Contract! Don't Use! Warning Order placed 02-08

I got sad news today March 13 at 3:45 pm my wife calls and advised me Lew, and Home Improvement King, Inc. Needs more money to complete the job. I was shock to here this news after three representatives advised me, we are approved and want to confirm the order and re-measure on Tuesday by the end of the day or early Wednesday. I advise we can do this Friday and We Agreed. So to find out three days later, from Lew that now Home Improvement Kings, Inc needs $1500. Dollars to complete the bid, after the last several days advised my friends, colleagues and family. To be disappointed and thinking after all my research to sound like its a Home Depot Scandal.

After credit was run and approval has been confirmed, plus Home Improvement King, Inc. Could not justify the additional $1500. Dollars after in great length contacted to have the company stop returning the phone calls and taken our credit authorization and approvals by all departments. Scandal don't use!!!

Dear Dave Allan, Owner
Mitch Wittenberg, General Manager
Lew Calvert

I was pleased to receive confirmation of our agreement of my replacement 17 Dimension Series windows on Tuesday with your representative. I had made arrangement with Daryl, Karen to have your representatives to re-measure all windows to confirm measurements.

With all my research of windows and confirming the best contractors to install replacement windows from home shows to online reviews plus Better Business Bureau. I made a wise choice of Home Improvement King, Inc. Rather finding out your company has several names and making me worry is this another home depot scandal or a strong company that specialize in window replacement. I have found certain complaints regarding your company plus I have also
found several good comments regarding youre past and experience in kitchens plus little was to be found about your business of replacement windows.

While doing my research I made some choice of a Atrium window, after research I found it to be a very good window and strong backing, the only reason I didnt go with Atrium window of change of color in the vinyl and how there contract reads no guaranty on cosmetics. Plus I found no information of your Dimension Series Window until I had to ask for referrals and found out from another window dealer explain to me who makes your window / Amerimaxbp.com. Lew advised me you make the window to find out its another window company that makes your window, after research found the window to be a good window and with your performance bond it did re-assure me to truly review your company more with Lew your rep to come out twice after I advise him I need to see more windows before I make a choice.

Lew, made a good presentation of replacement windows plus explain to me about your company and windows, but did forget to mention a couple of things that I could do my research on your dimension series windows. Lew, had some old material that could have provided me current materials in his presentation booklet. Besides that I felt confident in the window and could make a positive decision with my wife to purchase the Dimension Series windows.

First of all I have 5 replacement window companies that I wanted to deal with and you where not the cheapest or the most expensive. I had 3 companies that lied to me or mislead me and two companies that where outrageous and way to expensive for the same quality of windows. While Lew, explained himself very well and was a little misleading on the window. I was still confident in his presentation I had shown Lew two other bids that where at $9500.00 for the same style of windows with Atrium, while I also review Anderson windows at $9700.00 complete. I felt comfortable with Lew and Home Improvement King, Inc. That my family would be safe with the replacement windows and the referrals. Plus within the year the remodeling of my kitchen and that I advised Lew, that I would like a quote to remodel my kitchen!!!

I made a buying decision when I spoke with Greg Garza Amerimax rep in discussing the product and warranty and the backing. Plus explain to Lew with the great referrals I have to offer and working in the RV Industry where I could refer some great leads plus the remodeling of my kitchen by the next six months. I advised Lew in this market today, I should wait cause every market is slow and all industry are in a decline. That I have AAA Credit plus my wife also havening AAA Credit and we would be approved as that was confirmed.

Im advising you to reconsider your decision. Plus to read this letter of reconsideration in good faith plus read the following below with review of the industry of replacement window and contractors as a guide.

Thank you for the reconsideration,
Concern Customer

Online guide for Replacing Windows:

Replacing windows in a home is an expensive project that many homeowners are reluctant to do. The truth is that by replacing outdated windows a home cannot only be transformed, but also help save money on those energy bills. Outdated windows, more than fifteen years old, have a tendency to be far less energy efficient than current state of the art windows. Windows made today are sealed tighter and often need less maintenance those windows that are older. This may be an expensive proposition, but many homeowners will find, that in the end it is an investment that is worth it.

When beginning to shop for Dimension Window / Amerimax window replacement contractors it can be a good idea to first talk with friends and neighbors and see that they have used or heard about.By talking with others, a list can be made of potential Dimension Window / Amerimax window replacement contractors. If no one has used a Dimension Window / Amerimax window replacement contractor, another resource can be by looking at local newspapers. Local newspapers often have lists of services provided by local companies. Make sure when looking at Dimension Window / Amerimax window replacement contractors that they have been in business in the area for a while. There are people that run scams where they move into an area and open up a temporary business in the home improvement community. Check into the reliability of companies that you are looking at. One way to check up on Dimension Window / Amerimax window replacement contractors is by checking with the Better Business Bureau to find out if there are any known complaints with the company. Another is by asking for and verifying references. If references are given, take the time to go and see the work that was done and talk with the people involved. Ask questions about the work ethic of the company. Do the workers arrive when scheduled? Do the workers clean up any messes left, or do they leave nails and other debris about?

Verifying information with customers, a picture can be formed of the company and their workers. Make sure to find out what brand of windows they use and then research that brand. There are many companies that make windows, so be sure to know what is being installed in your home. Be an informed consumer and be sure that all of your questions are answered before hiring any contractor to perform work on your house.
