A thermocouple went out in gas water heater of rental house. Unfortunately, RR was called by management company. Even tho after hours, the maximum conceiveable charge should have been $100.
RR claimed that their 'standard' rate was $180. For the house call and t'couple replacement. This is about double the NON-standard, after hours charge for 15 minutes work — assuming the highest paid journeyman did the work (which isn't required for t'couple replacement of course).
