TheBeanBagStore encourages customers to lie and lies about refunds to be given

I ordered a bunkbed, matching chest of drawers and night stand from the Bean Bag Store online. When I placed the purchase they said to be sure to note on the shipping papers if there was any damage to the boxes.

I was told my delivery would be between 9 and 3 on a Saturday (how convenient huh?) The delivery man showed up before 8:30 and woke me up. He shoved a paper in front of me and said sign that you received these items. I did.

The following day I received a letter from The Bean Bag store telling me that when my delivery arrives I should mark on the shipping papers that there is damage to the boxes even if there isn't. Too late.

There was NO external damage to the boxes so I was not concerned. When I opened the boxes however, the night stand was falling apart. I was able to hammer it back together. The Chest of Drawers was upside down in the delivery box and completely smashed in half. There is no way I could use it. The bed, thank god was ok.

I called and emailed photos of the damage. After several weeks, I finally was told by their customer service person that because I did not say there was damage to the box, I could not get a replacement dresser or a refund. He did say they would credit me $130 (the dresser was $250) for my trouble. I really wanted a replacement dresser and was going to use the $130 towards it, but 4 months later I still have not seen this credit!

I was told by customer service that because I did not lie about damage to the box, it was my fault that there was internal damage. I saw NO outward damage to the box. I was told I should have written that there was damage anyway. So I was supposed to lie in order for them to help me!

Then they lied to me and said I would get a partial refund that did not happen.

I have emailed them since and get no response at all. Their customer service stinks! I work for an ecommerce company that would have done something about this and kept the customer instead of gaining all this ill will!

Don't buy from these guys if you are an honest person or need any help after the sale!
