We made the mistake of hiring this "inspection" firm. It is run by a former city building inspector named Ed Canney out of his house at the end of a dirt road. His "inspection" was of no help whatsoever and we didn't get the loan and had to hire a real inspector. Canney told us he was a licensed inspector and construction supervisor and showed us some sort of certificate. He runs a website, Inspectionalservices.com, showing fake credentials and photographs of other peoples projects. We later found out from the State of Massachusetts that he is not licensed by Massachusetts in any capacity whatsoever. Now we know, whenever you hire a home/construction inspector check with your state to see if they require a license and if they have one. We later found out by talking to his neighbors that Canney is known as a loud troublemaker in his neighborhood and once called the real North Reading Building Inspector about a handicaped neighbor whose wife built a ramp on their house. Stay away from this phony firm and man.
