We ordered a full set of living room furniture from our local Hank's Fine Furniture Store on September 29 and paid cash for everything up front. Our saleman's name was Jim and he was a delight. Jim told us that everything was in stock except the loveseat but it was on order and would be in on October 4. The only other issue was a special order for our sofa table. We were advised that it would take a little longer to get. We told Jim that we were willing to wait for everything to be delivered at one time if it only took two weeks.
I called today to make sure everything was ready for delivery and was told that the love seat; chair and ottoman had not arrived. The sofa table was there as was the sofa and other tables and I could "PICK THEM UP" at any time. I told Jim that was not an option and it was not my fault that his manufacturer's were not able to meet his deadline. Jim explained to me that the earliest he could deliver everything was October 30. I had donated all my furniture to Habitat for Humanity on October 6th believeing that I would have my furniture the following week.
After speaking with Jim, I called the customer service department and spoke with Christy. She was rude, crude, obnoxious, and overbearing. She told me she was the only one I could speak with because, the "buck" stopped with her. I tried to explain my situation and was told that it was not her problem and there was nothing we could do about it.
Hank's has no other customer service number. When I called the main office number and described the situation with the operator, she informed me that she was simply an answering service and could not transfer me to anyone else.
