I bought an investment house and the deal called for the seller to pay closing costs up to 6% of the transaction price. With closing at 1 PM, my loan officer TaLisa Tarber, now TaLisa Arnold calls me at 9:45 AM that same day to tell me that the most the seller could contribute was 3%, and if I didn't come up with the difference, I'd lose my $1,000 earnest money. I'm not bothered by having to pay more, but I'm sure SOMEBODY knew before 4 hours that what they estimated wasn't accurate. I feel that she just told me that to pocket more money.
