I looked around the internet to buy a NEW vacuum cleaner back in 2005. I found one that looked decent on the Kitchen and Home Gadgets website (that was linked from another website). When I received the item, the box was stamped "REFURBISHED" (with the 1 year warranty card stamped over with a 30 day limit); when I contacted them for an exchange they said I would have to pay return the expensive return shipping charges ($30, the vacuum's price was $45). They remained totally inflexible on this (which was their mistake and false advertising), and eventually stopped returning my emails. They did not have any phone number available to call them.
It was an extremely frustrating experience. Avoid this business, and beware of their advertisements! I guess they figure that most customers will not bother to hire a lawyer or pursue such under $100 losses. This experience has stuck with me until today when I noticed this usacomplaints.com website.
