I recently purchased a Select Comfort bed with adjustable foundation both with 20 year warranty. I was warned by the sales person that the foundation was not returnable. What I was not told was that the 20 year warranty was useless. Year 1 everything is covered. Year 2, and I quote, "This limited 2 year warranty shall not apply unless the defective part is returned to L&P within 10 days of purchaser's receipt of replacement part. Purchaser shall pay all service and transportation cost related to the replacement of the defective part".
Now for the 20 year part: "Electronics, electrical components, drive motors and massage motors are excluded." Since this is an adjustable foundation once any of the electronics or electrical components fail you no longer have an adjustable bed. The least they could have done was prorate the replacement parts and labor. The warranty continues with more exclusions and limitations which in essence make it useless after year 1. I feel ripped off.
