Bought a Minka-Aire online. Came to us in a factory sealed box. It was a Gyro model that rotates on a shaft. The speed of rotation is suppose to be 3-1/2 times per minute. It worked fine for the first few months. All of a sudden it started rotating more than 10 rotations per minute and was afraid it would come off the ceiling. Emailed company and they felt the receiver was going bad. They sent a new one and I installed it and it worked okay only for the first time. Then it went back to going 10 RPM again, if it would come on. I once again contacted them and they said I should take it back to the place of purchase. We checked online and the vendor was not to be found. Calle the dealer in the area and they said they could get me a new one but I would have to pay for it. Called the dealer and he contacted Minka-Aire and they said as I had not purchased from a "dealer" the warranty was not going to be honored. So for you folks that want a rotating ceiling fan, I would not recommend a Minka-Aire Gyro, model No. F602
