We built a home with Jim Walters that was financed through Walter Mortgage. This "on your lot" builder failed to live up to most of their promises in building and never provided any customer support other than attempts to steal every cent we had. If you plan to do business with any of this company's akas, a prime question is "Why don't you report your mortgages to the credit bureaus. Pay well, pay poorly, etc., you lose and the the shoddy "roof over your head" will be the only thing you have to show because your homeownership perks don't exist. We were warned and felt if we played all our cards right, we could watch over them, but there are too many "thems" working for the same people. Now our home built by Jim Walter illegals and financed through Walter "fill-in-the-blanks" Mortgage is being sold by GreatHomesForLess.com — same people! I've learned a hard lesson, but I now know more than I care to share about predatory lenders and cheap "stick" home builders.
