Cymax double billed my credit card for a single transaction and then gave me the run around when I tried to resolve it. I was first told that a preauthorization is done for all online transactions that my next statement would show only a single transaction. I was in fact charged twice (for over $250 each transaction) and when I called back again I was told that only the owner could investigate this and that it could not be done online and I would have to fax or mail a copy of my credit card statement to prove this happened.
No one could tell me when the owner would be back in the office and I was told I would have to wait to speak with her. I called my credit card issuer who said this is nonsense and that any reputable firm should be able to check this instantly and reverse it.
My credit card company was able to immediately tell that I was double billed and removed one of the charges from my bill and the amount is now under dispute with Cymax. I did a search on the Better Business Bureau online site and found that Cymax has an unsatisfactory rating for unanswered complaints. Beware!
