We want to share our experience with ASHLEY FURNITURE in hopes of helping other honest consumers avoid the service nightmares we've encountered.
We bought a couch, love seat, chair and ottoman set in February.in May ASHLEY FURNITURE refused to return our calls for customer service assistance when the first couch broke.
Many calls later, after messages being lost and calls not returned, ASHLEY FURNITURE shipped cushion materials to our home and advised us to repair it ourselves. As this isn't what's clearly written on their purchase warranty agreement, we didn't accept this option, so they replaced the set. The replacement couch also broke, as well as having sharp staples sticking out of other pieces.
ASHLEY FURNITURE's automated phone system only offers a voicemail option; you can't get them on the phone. If you do get a person, they say they'll pass along the message to the appropriate person but nobody calls back. After weeks of phone tag and voicemail run arounds, lost phone numbers, incorrect email addresses and a visit to the store, they send another technician and decide that they'll take our couch away and we just won't have one for as long as it takes to repair it.??
We purchased an extended warranty to avoid having to deal with this kind of hassle. We just want another set or our money back including the interest we've already paid. I think we've been more than patient considering how expensive the furniture is. We've paid our debt in good faith and just want ASHLEY FURNITURE to uphold its end of our contract.
We strongly urge anyone in the market for furnishings
to avoid ASHLEY FURNITURE.
They make promises they do not keep, they do not honor their own contracts and their customer service is set up to add insult to injury, hoping that dissatisfied customers will simply give up when they can't get any assistance.
We will not give up!
