Budget Blinds is a franchise business. This particular franchise is owned by Josiah Hunter and managed by Sterling and Beth Gauthrup (spelling?). The store has recently been closed for reasons unknown to me and so there is no way other than by cell phone or to leave a message to reach these people. I ordered Norman Plantation shutters in August and gave Sterling 1/2 of the total order deposite check. I was told the shutters would be delivered and installed in 6 to 8 weeks. At 10 weeks I called to check on the status of my order and was told they (California Main Office) couldn't find it and would get back to me. 2 weeks later I was told they found it and it had been shipped. 2 weeks go by and no call. I finally called the owner Mr. Hunter and he told me it hadn't been shipped but would be shipped by he end of the week. He also told me it would take 7 - 10 days to come across country. I called the office and set up installation for 2 days before Thanksgiving. It has been 2 weeks since that time and I am still waiting. No phone calls from the owner nor the managers. I called the main company in California and "tried, demanded" to talk to a person but with no results. I was told their policy for complaints was to go to their website and send an email - which I have done and still have not received any email or phone calls.
I either want my shutters installed NOW and want to be happy with them, or I want my money back!
