Ripoff with fraudlent return charges

On 7/19/06, I ordered two chairs from Gately's Shopping Network. The next day I needed to modify the order and found that there was no way to talk to anyone, so I cancelled the order via email. On 7/21/06 Gately's charged my Citibank card $3,059.98 even though the order had been cancelled.

I received email from Gately's that they were going to ship the chairs in August even though the order had been cancelled. I send another email in response pointing out that the order was cancelled and that I would refuse any shipment.

Gately's shipped the chairs anyway, even though three emails had been received (at least they didn't bounce back).

Now it seems that Gately's is charging my Citibank account $918.00 for re-stocking an order they should never have shipped. They knew from July 20 and on that the charge was disputed and the order cancelled.

These people are either the most incompetent merchants anywhere, or they are running a real fraudulent ripoff.

And note that there re-stocking charge equals 30%, yes 30%, of the original order!

My advice: Stay far away from these people!!
